Malaria Prevention Program

Here are some of the photos from the field  regarding the women’s empowerment and malaria prevention project workshops.  The workshops provide training to women, on how to make screens from recycled plastic bags.

The screens will be used to seal windows to keep out mosquitoes for prevention of malaria. The screens were installed in a  few homes in Matero, and more homes will be fitted with screens in the next few days. The goal of this workshop was to teach a marketable skill to the women, prevent malaria, and use recycled/waste plastic to minimize the carbon footprint.
