Granny Connection HIV and AIDS

Awareness Campaign for World AIDS Day

Clare (a senior) participates in the Red Scarf Project.

RED SCARF PROJECT
Granny Connection Awareness Campaign for World AIDS Day

In commemoration of World AIDS Day, Granny Connection will be tying red scarves on downtown trees and lamp posts.  The scarves will represent the large red ribbons of HIV and AIDS awareness.  Many people throughout the community have knitted and crocheted, then donated the scarves especially members at Mill Race  center and those students working on their senior projects. People who would like a warm scarf are encouraged to take the scarves and use them.

A RED SCARF WILL:

Demonstrate compassion and care for those living with HIV and AIDS.

Remember those who have died from AIDS related causes.

Show support for all HIV and AIDS service organizations, researchers, and dedicated care givers.

Commit to the education of others to halt this pandemic.
